Florist Table celebrates the quiet beauty of the everyday bouquet — a meeting place of texture, color, and form. Built from layers of handmade and eco-dyed papers, the work reflects my love of material and process. Torn edges, sheet music, and botanical prints intertwine to suggest a tabletop scene alive with rhythm and warmth.
The earthy palette — oranges, browns, and soft golds — evokes sunlight spilling across a workspace where flowers are gathered, arranged, and reimagined. Each vase, leaf, and shadow becomes part of a visual conversation between structure and spontaneity — a tribute to the artist’s table and the natural poetry found there.

Ikebana 2 16w x 16h x 1.5d
Mixed Media Collage on Panel
Inspired by the quiet balance and intentionality of Japanese flower arranging, Ikebana 2 continues my exploration of simplicity through texture and form. Handmade and eco-dyed papers layer to form a serene composition—delicate blossoms emerge from a stone-like vessel, grounded by warm earthy tones and a single persimmon resting nearby. The restrained palette and asymmetrical rhythm evoke a calm, meditative space where nature and design coexist.
A unique image that I was able to sketch when the bridges went up after George Floyd was murdered and there was unrest in Chicago. Beauty amongst unrest.
This piece combines the three mixed media techniques I use in my collages: Joomchi (paper-felting), eco-dyed florals on paper, and collage. Mark making on Joomchi vases created with a sewing machine.

Ikebana 3 (12 w x 12 h x 1.5 d)
Mixed Media on Paper
Ikebana 3 completes the series inspired by the Japanese art of flower arranging. Guided by principles of balance and simplicity, this piece continues my exploration of how shape and texture can suggest movement within stillness.
Created using foliage gathered from my own garden, it reflects a quiet dialogue between structure and spontaneity — between what’s placed with intention and what unfolds naturally. Soft colors and layered surfaces invite the viewer to pause and find calm in the open space between forms.
Pepper Fish 24w x 36h x 1d
Mixed Media Collage on Panel
“Pepper Fish” blends calm and chaos in one quirky still life. The glowing flowers, fiery peppers, and tiny, oblivious fish invite you to notice the mix of heat and softness in your own life. This piece asks: Where do you feel free, and where do you feel contained?
Tropical Table Top presents a layered cardboard collage that merges vivid color with deliberate construction. The fruit forms—papaya, avocado, dragon fruit, and plantains —are assembled through cut, painted, and collaged surfaces, creating depth and tactile variation across the composition. A saturated green ground anchors the work while emphasizing contrast and rhythm. Visible seams, torn edges, and painterly marks foreground process, transforming a familiar still life into a study of material, balance, and contemporary domestic imagery
Framed and ready to hang
This piece leans into the quiet drama of the everyday—where a simple arrangement becomes something almost cinematic. Hand-formed leaves stretch upward with a raw, sculptural presence, their veins exaggerated and alive, pushing against the deep, moody blue backdrop. The surface carries a tactile honesty—creases, imperfections, and layered fibers that refuse to be smoothed out.
The vase sits grounded yet slightly off-balance, holding the stems like a moment paused mid-breath. Below, the oranges—imperfect, textured, sun-warmed—anchor the composition with a pulse of warmth against the cool field above.
What makes this piece so unique:
The vase and oranges are made from papers created by the artist using recycled materials - think junk mail.
The plant is make from cardboard and cut so it lifts of the wood cradle and self shadows.
The background is Lotka Paper from Nepal and Mulberry Paper treated with Konnyaku powder.
Island Still Life explores color, weight, and construction through layered cardboard collage. The central form is built outward from the surface, creating a tactile presence that blurs the line between painting and low relief. Saturated reds, yellows, and greens establish a charged but balanced composition, while exposed edges and irregular textures reveal the hand and the process behind the work. Framed in white, the piece contrasts refined presentation with raw materiality, inviting close inspection and sustained viewing.
Framed and ready to hang
If you have explored Paris, this piece will allow you to explore again and again and again. Lots to look at from landmarks to the essence of the best of Paris streets. A statement piece that creates travel conversations and more.

Sunflowers, Clay Vase radiates warmth and joy — a celebration of nature’s bold simplicity. Built from hand-dyed and eco-printed papers, the collage layers texture and tone to capture the golden vitality of sunflowers against an earthy green ground.
The deep clay vase anchors the composition, its organic patterns echoing the rhythms of the natural world. Each torn edge and hand-formed petal reflects my ongoing fascination with paper as both surface and subject — a medium that carries its own quiet memory of nature.
This piece invites the viewer to feel sunlight, texture, and time — a moment of still life that hums with life itself.

Usually my paintings are full of color! This painting is in black, off-white and gold papers. It’s modeled after my studio which overlooks my garden with a big bay window. With this limited palette, I played with form …. note the table legs, bottle and vases. I played with the shapes of the plants and flowers while pushing and pulling pieces back and forth through shading.

Still Life with Mangos
Description
Still Life with Mangos reinterprets a familiar tabletop scene through layered cardboard collage and painterly mark-making. The bowl and fruit are built outward from the surface, creating a subtle sculptural presence that shifts with light and shadow. Saturated color, exposed edges, and visible construction emphasize process while grounding the composition in balance and restraint. The work invites slow looking—where everyday objects become studies in form, weight, and quiet abundance.
Framed and ready to hang
48h × 66w x 2 d
Mixed media collage
This mixed media collage turns everyday materials into a cozy, lived-in scene with real depth and attitude. Built from layered cardboard, the forms physically rise off the surface, creating a subtle 3D effect that pulls the viewer in. Wood veneers anchor the composition as a warm, textured “floor,” grounding the space and adding an architectural feel.
Cut and shaped paper elements form the plants, vessels, and tabletop objects, each piece carefully layered to cast natural shadows and create visual movement. The materials stay honest—edges, seams, and textures are visible—celebrating process over perfection. It feels domestic, playful, and a little poetic, like a quiet moment frozen mid-breath. Low-key humble materials, high-key presence.
