The vase and oranges are made from papers created by the artist using recycled materials - think junk mail.

The plant is make from cardboard and cut so it lifts of the wood cradle and self shadows.

The background is Lotka Paper from Nepal and Mulberry Paper treated with Konnyaku powder.

What makes this piece unique is:

1 The orange vase is made from recycled paper (think junk mail and collage scraps) by the artist.

2 The Monstera was created from recycled cardboard raising from the 1.5 “ depth cradle creating it’s own shadows as the sun changes.

3 The fishbowl is layers of paper - water created on a gel plate, fish added on top and the translucenty of the glass created with thin mulberry paper

Inspired by the Japanese art of flower arranging, Ikebana One celebrates simplicity, balance, and the quiet poetry of natural forms. Created using handmade and eco-dyed papers, this piece merges still life and abstraction—pairing delicate pressed florals with a grounded arrangement of persimmons on a warm earthen table. The composition reflects a mindful restraint learned from Ikebana practice, where every element breathes and each negative space carries meaning.

Clay Vases captures the warmth and rhythm of a still life built from earth tones and handmade textures. Layered papers — hand-dyed, some naturally patterned — come together to form a quiet dialogue between vessels, flowers, and the spaces between them.

Each vase holds its own personality: one refined and patterned, the other textured and deep. The golden flowers bend and dance across the surface, bringing movement and light to the grounded palette. This piece reflects my ongoing fascination with the relationship between structure and spontaneity — how simple forms can tell a story of balance, texture, and time.

The vases are crafted using the traditional joomchi hand-felting technique, adding an element of handcrafted charm. The delightful combination of purple, pink, and yellow colors harmonizes beautifully, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of the composition. Completed in 2024.

Florist Table celebrates the quiet beauty of the everyday bouquet — a meeting place of texture, color, and form. Built from layers of handmade and eco-dyed papers, the work reflects my love of material and process. Torn edges, sheet music, and botanical prints intertwine to suggest a tabletop scene alive with rhythm and warmth.

The earthy palette — oranges, browns, and soft golds — evokes sunlight spilling across a workspace where flowers are gathered, arranged, and reimagined.
